Who We Are
Medical Checkup

Catholic Charities of California (CCC) is the single point of access to the statewide network of Catholic Charities Local Implementing Agencies (CC-LIAs). These local organizations make up California’s largest network of private social service providers, delivering more than 1.5 million professional social services to Californians every year.

CC-LIAs deliver services such as housing, education, food and clothing assistance, senior services, and immigration services, to low-income and vulnerable populations across 25 counties throughout the state of California.

Each Catholic Charities LIA offers comprehensive case management and an array of supportive services that assist low-income individuals to access to resources and acquire skills to move toward self-sufficiency.

What We Do

Local Catholic Charities Organizations (LCCOs) provide health coverage outreach, education, and enrollment assistance services across California. Health coverage enrollment and utilization can be especially daunting for low-income individuals and families.

Catholic Charities assists thousands of individuals and children to enroll in health coverage or seek basic preventative health services year after year. Timely enrollment into Medi-Cal or Covered California helps low-income Californians access care and avoid costly and traumatic health crises.

Our Medi-Cal and Covered California programs have helped over 10,000 people apply for healthcare coverage at more than 50 sites across the state.

Who We Serve

Catholic Charities’ Health Navigator's project effectively reaches underserved and vulnerable populations who typically experience the greatest health disparities. These populations include immigrants, refugees, children, older adults, and the homeless.

Since 2016, Catholic Charities Certified Enrollment Counselors have enrolled over 2,000 individuals into Covered California health plans. LCCO services are currently available in 11 counties: San Joaquin, Orange, Santa Clara, Fresno, San Bernardino/Riverside, and Santa Rosa.
